Colleen Meighan, Associate Teacher

Colleen Meighan fell in love with Irish dance while dancing under the direction of Kathy Hanley, ADCRG and Maureen Frail at the Do Cairde School of Irish Dance.  She competed at the Mid Atlantic Oireachtas for solos as well as on many Ceili teams.  Her favorite part of Irish dancing has been dancing to live music in shows, and dancing in nursing homes, restaurants, weddings, and on QVC!

Colleen has a Master’s degree from Marywood University in Speech Language Pathology and currently practices in both the public school setting and hospital setting.   She has a love for all of her students, but particularly loves working with Autistic support, life skills, and multiple disability students.

Along with Irish dance and Speech/Language Pathology, Colleen has a background in piano and yoga. She is thrilled to have the opportunity to join the McGough Academy and help spread the love of dance.
