Jackie began Irish dancing at the age of 8 and retired at the age of 21. During her years as a student of the Broesler School, she reached the Open Championship level, won the Mid-Atlantic Championships 3 times, placed 5th at the All Ireland Championships and placed in the top ten of the World Championships.
She passed her T.C.R.G. with honors in 2010. Jackie believes it is important for dancers at all levels to continue to strive to improve Irish dancing basics such as posture, turn-out, crossing, coupled with striving to perfect the modern moves and technique of competitive Irish dance today.
She loves to work with students of all ages but has a soft spot for the little ones. She tries to instill a love and passion for dance which she believes is the key to a long, successful dance career!
Jackie lives in Orwigsburg, PA with her husband, Bill and their 6 children. Jackie’s daughter, Carlin, is also a student at the McGough Academy.
